The Valley of the Danube River has seen many wars over the years. The houses in Austria and Bavaria have an interesting style. Property plots were very narrow and very long. Houses were built at one end, near the road, and then stretched away from the road. Over the generations the houses were added to and often got longer and longer. The remainder of the property was usually made into gardens. This kit includes five houses along with garden walls, fences and sheds. The kit provides two colors for the thatch roofs. As with most PaperTerrain houses, there is a ruined building underneath the intact one.
