Much of the war against the Martians take place on or near the great rivers of America's heartland. In a nation with few paved roads, the railroads and rivers are the only practical means of transporting troops, supplies and equipment. Just as during the Civil War, fleets of river vessels were constructed to support the armies. Among the most common were the humble river barges. These simple vessels, some powered by steam and others towed, were vital to the human war effort. This kit allows you to build three such barges. They can be constructed in either the steam-powered or the unpowered versions.
